This week’s Bristol releases lean into bass pressure, experimental electronics, folk songwriting, sharp independent hip-hop and guitar-based noise. There are also some bigger upcoming Bristol moments to flag, including Easton Punk Festival, Rave on Avon and Getdown Services joining Super Furry Animals at Bristol Sounds.

Philski “AnnThen”
Another quick-fire Philski release, taken from inappropriate and released 20 April 2026. UK garage, d’n’b, Latin house and “love songs with a kick.”
Sam Krats “It’s Going Down”
Bristol producer Sam Krats links with Guilty Simpson and DJ Rasp for a heavyweight boom-bap single. Taken from the forthcoming album Culture.
ARLO “Come Again”
A refreshed 2026 club cut from Bristol DJ/producer ARLO. The track traces back to a Red Bull Music Academy studio session and features Jammer and Example.
Wood “Immoveable Object Vs Unstoppable Horse”
A fast, punchy hardcore punk track from Meatwood Flac on Hoods Up. Guitar-based chaos, melodic hardcore energy and plenty of bite.
Maxumus “Increment”
A Bristol jungle / drum & bass release from Maxumus, who describes himself as “a student of jungle.” Increment comes from Increment / Spongiform [AIR008].
Easton Punk Festival returns across the bank holiday weekend, taking over The Plough, The Chelsea Inn, The Red Lion and The Old Stillage. Expect punk, poetry, DIY chaos and plenty of fresh Bristol bands — including Captain Zero at The Red Lion tonight.
Getdown Services join Super Furry Animals and Gwenno at Bristol Sounds on Wednesday 24 June at Canons Marsh Amphitheatre. A big Bristol slot for the duo alongside one of the major outdoor shows of the summer.
Rave on Avon returns for its 16th year, with The Boxing Gym and Clement Street becoming a multi-stage rave zone. Expect seven stages, 70+ artists, local sound systems and nine hours of garage, jungle, drum & bass, house, techno and more.
One to watch at Electric: Bellaire brings his French touch, disco, funk, hip-hop and garage-influenced club sound to Bristol alongside Jeremy Underground. A strong pick for house, disco and club heads.
